“The miracle worker” tells about Helen Keler and “Angela’s Ashes tells about Frank McCourt . What are they ? They are exactly real life story. Frank McCourt is a real writer Helen Keller is also from real life. However ıt comes to us as if they were a kind of imaginatination of our mind but no matter how we have difficulty in believing in those kind of stories, all of them are lived in somewhere of this world that we also live .Their stories are about challenges of life and their experiences that they encounter . It is the similarity between two films, The Miracle Worker and and Angela ‘s Ashes . . Unlike the other people, they are born with some obstacles and difficulties. These difficulties are poorness,, hungriness also cold weather, ıt is always rainy ın the film of Angela’s Ashes and ın The Miracle Worker difficulties change . there is no poorness but there is an obstacle not one there is two . Deafness and blindness .Do you think that you are both deaf and blind? If you ask me, I can not even imagine.Another similarity is determinizm reflected by Frank McCourt and Helen Keler . They are like activist that take part in social life with their perseverance and other features. The other similarity of these two films is the being strong,smart, ambitious of the characters . Why are they so ambitious and willingly to overcome their obstacles. They can be passive and accept the situation then they might go on their life so. However they choose fighting. They are ambitious because they think that they have right tol ive beter.The last similarity between two films is that the characters –Helen Keler and Frank McCourt- is be able to reach their aim and succeed in spite of all changes that they face. It is not easy as seem. While I was watching two films, I caught on some differencies. For instance, ın the Angela’s Ashes , there are some mit that are about religion. Church, confession, regretness of the sin… In the Miracle Worker,there is not any reflection of the social life at that time. The Miracle Worker is apart from the outside and ıt is based on person’s emotion and feeling and also ın the miracle worker there is somebody who helps Helen to learn everything from eating to sitting and make her understand the world by touching with her fingers. The message of two films that we shouldnt sit in the chair with the obstacles that turns the lights of our life into dark. We are talented at least only a part of life and we can be succesful in this part. Even if you are handicapped, even ıf you can not find any bread to eat ,there is always a chance for all people. The most important thing is not to lose of our believe in our heart . Finally, “Angela’s Ashes” is more effective and more beautiful than “The Miracle Worker “ because Angela’s ashes has more perspective of some subjects that are seen than the other film. In the miracle worker the seen that has an impression and give the message to reader is limited andı f we asses the film in terms of esthetic, Angela’s Ashes is more colourful and more effective. Angela’s ashes is the compose of many feelings. However both of them worth watching…
